Forttage creature

In art I did different type of rubbing using different type of resources and equipment's. After rubbing I made my animal a giraffe. 

I used photoshop to edit my giraffe animal. I increased the vibrance by +164 and the hue to a blueish colour.

Hannah Hoch

Hannah Hoch was a German artist associated with the Berlin Dada group. Hoch was a pioneer of photomontage, a technique where existing images are cut up and rearranged to create new compositions. She explored gender roles and made feminist pieces during her career. Hoch was the only female artist of the Berlin Dada.

Wangechi Mutu

Mutu was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She is best known for her large-scale collages depicting female figures in lush, otherworldly landscapes. Her work explores issues of gender, race, war, globalisation, colonialism and the eroticisation of the black female body.

In this collage I used pictures from different magazines which I cut out and stuck them together to make a weird and odd creature with human part body.

Photoshops and Hybrids

I created my own Hybrid by finding two animal pictures from google copy and pasted them on Adobe photoshop edited the two pictures and combined them together, I cropped out the tigers body and added its head on the king Kong body.

I created my second Hybrid by finding two animal pictures from google copy and pasted them on Adobe photoshop edited the two pictures and combined them together. I cropped out the dogs head and attached it on the giraffes body.

 

   Bone Tone and shading

   Tone and shading is the lightness or darkness on a drawing.

Joan Fontcuberta

Joan Fontucberta is a Spanish conceptual artist and photographer. He uses photography to play tricks on the viewers mind and make them question reality. He combines two or more animals to create a hybrid animal.

This art work has elephants with wings attached.

This art work has a snake with legs. The name of the picture is "Fauna" Solenoglypha Polipodida, 1985.

Hybrid from objects

I first used a sheep skull for the head, then I used a pot for the body, then I used pens for the arm, then I used bones for the legs, I used colouring pens for the outlines.

Fantastical Landscape

Terry Gillam is an American born British film maker, comedian, animator and actor. He made the animations used in the Monty Python programmes.

This picture looks interesting, I never seen a snail in the air in any artwork. 

Salvador Dali, was a Spanish surrealist artist renowned for his technical skill and the striking and bizarre images in his work.

This picture looks beautiful and a place where I would relax.

Evaluation 

For my final art piece I used some inspiration of Terry Gillam to create a wonderful landscape using oil pastels, I coloured the sea blue and added some dark blue, for the mountains I added light blue and white. I then used my imagination created a pieces of giraffe with different colour body parts and stuck them together and mounted it on the landscape water as if its drowning under the water. 

Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso hosted his first exhibit in Barcelona, Spain at 19 year old. He created over 20,000 art pieces in a wide range of mediums, including ceramics and theatre sets. His art work has sold for over $100 million in the 21st century.

     

             

History of Halloween 

Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on the 31st October, the tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honour all saints. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating treats.

Extension task:

This film is about a killer calling two teenage girls asking them questions to keep them busy while the killer sneaks in the house and tries stabbing the two girls.
